Job summary

apetito is seeking a detail-focused Food Technologist to join our UK team at the Wiltshire site, contributing to the New Product Development function. You will convert product data into accurate, legally compliant specifications for raw materials and finished products, enabling safe meals for our customers.

Working with suppliers and internal teams, you will ensure information is accurate, up-to-date and accessible, supporting launches and changes while keeping knowledge current on UK/EU

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science or related discipline or proven experience
• Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook) and SharePoint
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK/EU food legislation for end consumer delivery
• Experience preparing food specifications and labels
• Ability to check raw material specs for compliance and accuracy
• Numerical skills to support recipe calculations
• Capable of handling multiple projects concurrently

Responsibilities

• Manage specifications, queries, artwork checks, legislation updates and deadlines
• Prepare and maintain raw material specifications with suppliers
• Create finished product specifications and assess compliance before sharing
• Gather, interpret and approve supplier/recipe/product data for stakeholders
• Respond to product/material queries with clear technical information
• Check artwork and related product information for accuracy and compliance
• Keep systems for products, recipes and specifications up to date
• Support development in technical setup of new/improved products
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation to stay ahead
