Job summary

apetito Limited is seeking a detail-oriented Food Technologist to join the New Product Development team at our UK Head Office in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. You will turn product and ingredient information into clear, legally compliant data to support safe, high-quality meals.

You will work with the Ingredients Function to ensure raw materials and finished products meet requirements, collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to share accurate technical information throughout concept to

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science or related discipline or proven experience in a similar role.
• Competent user of Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint.
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK/EU food legislation for end consumer delivery.
• Experience checking artwork labels for compliance with labelling laws.
• Experience preparing food specifications and labels.
• Experience checking supplier material specifications for accuracy and compliance.
• Numerical competency to support recipe calculations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritise a busy workload across specifications, queries, artwork checks, legislative updates and deadlines.
• Work with suppliers to maintain accurate raw material specifications.
• Prepare finished product specifications and assess information for compliance before sharing.
• Gather and approve supplier, recipe and product data for internal stakeholders.
• Respond to product and material queries with clear, timely technical information.
• Check artwork and product information for accuracy and compliance.
• Keep internal systems for products, recipes and specifications up to date.
• Support development teams in the technical setup of new and improved products.
• Drive continuous improvement across processes.
• Contribute to innovation in products, systems and service while meeting deadlines.
• Keep up to date with key legislative changes.
