Job summary

apetito is seeking a detail-focused Food Technologist to join the New Product Development team at the UK Head Office in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. You will translate product and ingredient information into clear, compliant data supporting safe, high-quality meals.

Working within the Ingredients Function, you will ensure raw materials and finished products meet legislative, customer and apetito requirements, collaborating with suppliers, development colleagues and stakeholders to deliver accurate

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science or related discipline and relevant experience.
• Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint.
• Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering to deadlines.
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK/EU food legislation for end consumer delivery.
• Proficient in checking food artwork labels for compliance with labeling laws.
• Experience preparing food specifications and labels.
• Experience checking raw material specifications for accuracy and compliance.
• Numerical competency to support recipe calculations.
• Able to work with multiple data sources.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritise a busy workload across specifications, queries, artwork checks, legislative updates and project deadlines.
• Work with suppliers to prepare and maintain accurate raw material specifications.
• Prepare finished product specifications and assess information for compliance before sharing with stakeholders.
• Gather, interpret and approve supplier, recipe and product data for accessibility by the right people.
• Respond to product and material queries with clear, accurate technical information.
• Check artwork and product information for accuracy, consistency and compliance.
• Keep internal systems for products, recipes and specifications up to date.
• Support development colleagues in the technical setup of new and improved products.
• Drive continuous improvement.
