Job summary

Marks & Spencer is seeking a Shift Lead to manage the fill operation and ensure the sales floor is ready to trade. You will coordinate resources and support the Colleague Manager in their absence while maintaining a strong customer service focus.

This frontline role requires proactive leadership, team coaching, and effective store operations to deliver a fast, pleasant shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the fill operation and ensure the sales floor is ready to trade.
• Coordinate resources to deliver operational tasks during the fill period and when the Colleague Manager is absent.
• Coach colleagues on One Best Way and drive productivity in readiness for store opening.
• Allocate resources to deliver a quick payment experience.
• Ensure daily operational processes are implemented efficiently across the store at the right times.
• Coordinate the team to maintain a clean, safe and well-presented store.
• Foster a great, inclusive team atmosphere and model excellent customer service.
• Support Colleague Managers by sharing observations to drive high performance and recognise great colleagues.
• Be available as a key holder to respond to call outs and assist with opening/closing duties.
