Job summary

D R Newitt & Associates has a Glasgow site seeking a Technical Manager to oversee quality and systems, ensuring food safety, quality and compliance as volumes grow. You will work with production to embed standards, lead audits and drive improvements across the operation, deputising for the Head of Technical as needed.

The role requires strong leadership, factory presence, and a track record in chilled/high-care environments with a focus on data integrity and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Quality and Systems teams in a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of BRCGS standards and customer requirements.
• Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site's Quality and Systems teams and set clear expectations.
• Own the food safety and quality management systems.
• Lead customer and third-party audits and build supplier relationships.
• Collaborate with production to maintain a high food safety culture.
• Identify gaps, challenge practices and drive improvements.
