DRNewitt is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead the site's technical, quality and food safety functions at a new production site as part of its expansion. You will establish, develop and maintain systems, and work with senior management, production teams, suppliers and customers.

You will drive QMS improvements, audits, supplier approvals and root-cause analysis, and foster a proactive quality culture across the operation.

Competenze

• Experience in Technical, Quality Assurance or Quality Management in food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of food safety legislation and customer codes of practice.
• Food Safety qualification and HACCP Level 3.
• Previous team management experience.
• Excellent IT skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor qualification.
• Knowledge of major retailer technical standards.

Mansioni

• Take ownership of the site's Technical and Quality function, maintaining the QMS.
• Develop and implement food safety, quality and product integrity systems to meet legal, BRC and customer requirements.
• Conduct gap analyses and identify opportunities for improvement across the operation.
• Lead and support internal, external and customer audits and document reviews.
• Manage supplier and contractor approval processes and records.
• Build relationships with customer technical teams and act as contact for technical queries.
• Oversee food safety systems, product specifications and document control.
• Manage microbiological and pesticide testing schedules and investigations.
• Monitor customer service levels, complaints and CAPAs.
• Support expansion of production lines with technical controls and food safety standards.
• Work with operations to foster a strong food safety and quality culture.
