Job summary

Interaction Recruitment seeks a Food Production Operative for a fast-paced meat processing environment in Meldreth. You will handle stock, prepare and process meat products, and pack finished goods for dispatch. Training is provided and candidates with some food production background are encouraged to apply.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am–6:30pm, with a Thursday start at 7:00am. There is ongoing work and a potential permanent opportunity.

Job Type: Temporary / Full-Time

The Opportunity

Our client is looking for Food Production Operatives to join their busy food manufacturing operation in Meldreth.

This is a hands‑on role within a fast‑paced production environment, involving the preparation, processing and packing of meat products.

Previous experience within food production would be an advantage. Bandsaw experience is desirable but not essential, as full training can be provided.

The Role

• Handling and moving stock within the production facility
• Picking stock from cold storage areas
• Preparing and processing meat products
• Cutting meat to the required size
• Using production equipment safely
• Packing finished products ready for dispatch
• Building and preparing pallets for delivery
• Carrying out basic quality checks
• Keeping production areas clean and tidy
• Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Working as part of a team to meet daily production targets

About You

• Previous experience in a food production, manufacturing or factory environment
• A reliable and hardworking attitude
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good attention to detail
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• The ability to follow instructions and production procedures
• A willingness to learn and undertake training

Desirable Experience

• Previous meat processing experience
• Experience working in a chilled/cold-store environment
• Bandsaw experience
• Packing or palletising experience
• Knowledge of food hygiene/HACCP
• Bandsaw experience is a bonus and is not essential, as training can be provided.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 6:30pm

Thursday start: 7:00am.

Candidates must be comfortable working these hours and in a physically active production environment.
