Job summary

Pangea Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Technical Sales Manager for Food Processing Equipment in the United Kingdom. The role combines field travel with strategic sales activities to grow key customer relationships across the UK and Ireland, handling technical products with strong applications knowledge.

The ideal candidate has a sales, engineering or operations background, with excellent communication, presentation and negotiating skills, plus a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• Preferably from a sales, engineering or operational background.
• Relevant technical product skills and industry knowledge is essential.
• Ability to quickly learn and develop current knowledge of products, applications, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends.
• Information management and reporting.
• Organisational, planning and time management.
• Full driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support Head of Sales in developing and maintaining relationships with current and prospective customers to generate repeat and new business.
• Maximise profitability of sales and services by recommending cost-reducing initiatives while maintaining productivity and quality.
• Travel the UK and Ireland supporting the divisional manager with customer relations, identifying needs, and maximising market potential.
• Communicate customer requirements to team and suppliers in a timely, accurate manner and follow up on actions.
• Liaise with suppliers as required.
• Attend Exhibitions and Trade Fairs to support sales and marketing.
• Identify opportunities for future growth.
