We have anexciting opportunityfor you to join our committedTechnical Services teamas aFood & Non-Food Technologist! This is a fantastic chance to gain hands-on experience, support our retailer clients, and make a real impact in the food industry.
As a key player in our team, you will help ensure that products meet industry regulations and quality standards, while also supporting the due diligence of both food and non-food products. If you’renaturally analytical, love solving problems, and thrive in an environment where you can make confident decisions within set timeframes, we want to hear from you!
About the Position
Shift:Monday to Friday
Location:Rotherham
Contract:40 hours per week, Full-Time, Permanent
The day to day
- Using your technical knowledge toensure product compliancewith the latest regulations.
- Working closely withretailer food suppliersto manage product specifications and quality attributes.
- Collecting and analysing testing data to supportmarketability reportsfor retailers.
- Responding totechnical queriesfrom clients and preparing detailed reports.
- Preparing food samples fororganoleptic testing(taste, smell, and texture analysis).
- Conductingphysical, organoleptic, and appearance testingon products.

The Essentials- Adegree-level qualificationin Food Sciences, Nutrition, or a related scientific field (or be in the final year of your degree).
- Asolid understandingof food regulations, labelling, and the food industry.
- Strongreporting and writing skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
- Theability to work independentlyand as part of a team, managing projects and meeting tight deadlines.
- Amethodical, organised, and analytical approach, withexceptional attention to detail.
- The confidence to makewell-informed decisionsquickly and effectively.
- Excellentcommunication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
- A stronginterest in the food industryand a desire to learn and grow within the sector.
