Job summary

Haywood & Padgett Ltd is seeking a Training Coordinator to lead training across our Barnsley manufacturing site, focusing on food safety, quality and health and safety. You will identify training needs on the shop floor and deliver practical sessions to ensure staff understand and perform competently.

You will develop engaging training materials, maintain records and support employee development across shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering workplace training in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to explain procedures clearly and deliver practical training.
• Experience maintaining training records, skills matrices or competency assessments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver training across production, hygiene, technical, warehouse and other departments.
• Identify training needs and maintain training plans, training matrices and skills records.
• Deliver practical training on food safety, hygiene, metal detection, coding and labelling, sieving, quality standards and other manufacturing procedures.
• Assess employees' understanding and practical competence, ensuring they are confident before being signed off.
• Work with managers and team leaders to identify skills gaps and ensure training is completed on time.
• Coordinate refresher training and maintain accurate training and competency records.
• Manage the online training platform, including course allocation, completion monitoring and reporting.
• Develop training materials, including presentations, visual guides, toolbox talks and demonstrations.
• Review training requirements after changes to processes or audits.
