Job summary

Block MB in Wolverhampton is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the maintenance and engineering function on a busy production site. You will oversee the site engineering and maintenance team and own planned maintenance to reduce downtime.

The role requires a mechanical or electrical engineering background with a relevant qualification and proven leadership in food, drink, or FMCG manufacturing; you will manage budgets, drive improvements, and ensure compliance with health, safety and audit

Qualifications

• Mechanical or electrical engineering background with a relevant qualification.
• Experience managing an engineering team in food, drink, or FMCG manufacturing.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
• Track record of improving reliability and equipment performance.
• Strong on health and safety and food manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the site engineering and maintenance team
• Own planned maintenance and drive down unplanned downtime
• Manage the engineering budget and supplier relationships
• Deliver improvement and capital projects across the site
• Keep the site compliant with food safety, health and safety, and audit standards
• Work closely with Production and Technical to improve line performance
