Job summary

Bespoke Hotels is seeking a Food & Beverage Manager/Duty Manager to lead the F&B team, drive service excellence and maximise revenue across the hotel. The role requires strong guest focus and the ability to manage operations on busy days.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellence across all Food & Beverage activities, maximise profits and lead a motivated team to exceed guest expectations.
• Develop and support your team to meet company and department objectives and standards.
• Ensure staff are trained on product knowledge and wine specifications.
• Meet food & beverage revenue targets and manage staffing levels according to occupancy and budget.
• Maintain a safe, hygienic environment for customers and staff.
• Provide clear direction to the team during peak periods and recruit suitable staff.
• Oversee daily briefings and ensure effective communication across departments.
• Stay updated on Health & Safety and Food Hygiene legislation and adjust policies as required.
• Chair departmental meetings and participate in reviews and meetings.
• Handle payments in line with hotel cash handling procedures and cover Duty Manager shifts when needed.

Requirements

The ideal person will have at least strong experience, ideally 1-2 years in a similar position and will have the ability to deliver great service to our guests.

Duties Will Include

• To deliver excellence across all Food and Beverage activities, maximising profits and exploiting opportunities for improved efficiencies and to effectively lead and develop a highly-motivated team to exceed customer expectations.
• To develop, motivate and support your team so as to ensure that all company and department objectives and standards are met
• To ensure that all food and beverage staff are trained on product knowledge and wine specifications.
• To achieve food and beverage revenue targets and profit conversions
• To plan and manage staffing levels effectively in accordance with the hotel’s occupancy, events, forecasts and budget.
• Ensure a safe, secure and hygienic environment for customers, staff and visitors to be maintained
• To provide and effectively communicate clear direction to the team especially during peak business.
• To effectively recruit, select and manage team members who meet the current and future needs of your department and the hotel.
• To ensure daily briefings are carried out in all departments under your control to ensure effective communication.
• To keep continually updated of Health and Safety and Food Hygiene legislation. Implement required policy adjustments.
• To chair departmental meetings and participate fully in reviews and meetings
• Accurate payments to be dealt with in accordance with the Hotel’s standards and the company’s cash handling procedures
• To be able to cover Duty Manager shifts and deputise for the General Manager
