Job summary

LQ Resorts is seeking a friendly Food and Beverage Assistant to join the team for breakfast, lunch and dinner service. You will create a warm, welcoming environment and deliver great service, making each guest experience memorable.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a can-do attitude, capable of working across shifts, and committed to high standards of personal appearance and hygiene. Benefits include resort discounts, free staff meals, and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality customer service.
• Willingness to work across breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts.
• Strong selling and customer service skills.
• Able to work in a team and independently.
• Maintain composure during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to guests and respond to requests and complaints promptly.
• Take beverage orders, prepare and serve drinks with attention to detail.
• Prepare outlets for service and ensure readiness for the next shift.
• Assist with receiving and storing goods and maintain hygiene standards.
• Assist with cellar operations and event service preparation.
• Ensure glassware, crockery and equipment are cleaned and ready for service.
• Maintain high personal appearance and uniform cleanliness.
• Follow all policies, including cash handling and health and safety procedures.

Job description

• Providing exceptional levels of service to all guests responding to requests and complaints in a timely manner and ensuring guest satisfaction
• Preparing the outlets ready for service and ensuring the operation is left ready for the next shift
• Taking beverage orders from customers, preparing and serving drinks as requested, paying attention to detail
• Assist with the receiving and storage of goods
• Maintain a good food safety, hygiene standards and practices
• Assists with cellar operations
• Assists with the preparation of a food and beverage functions service
• Cleaning of equipment
• Cleaning and maintaining glassware and crockery for service
• Preparation of waiter service stations
• Preparation of tables
• Maintain high standard of personal appearance and hygiene including wearing and maintaining a clean uniform at all times.
• Follow all company policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook including any department specific procedures such as cash handling and credit procedures.
• Be aware of and follow all Health and Safety procedures.
