Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Airport is seeking a friendly Food & Beverage Assistant to join our team in Manchester. You will work closely with the F&B leadership, serving beverages and assisting guests with menu enquiries in a fast-paced hotel environment.

We offer flexible hours and shifts from early morning (5:30am) to late evening (around 11pm), plus benefits including discounts, extra holiday days, and wellness support. Join a growing team and develop in hospitality.

Qualifications

• Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry.
• Experience in a busy restaurant or bar is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent personal presentation.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages as requested by guests.
• Ensure tables are set and ready for guests at all times.
• Take and execute guest orders promptly.
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness in Food & Beverage outlets.
• Have good knowledge of the food and beverage menu.
• Answer guests' questions on menu, wait times and availability.
• Communicate guest requirements and dietary needs with F&B and Kitchen teams.

We are currently looking for a Food & Beverage Assistant to join our Truly Talented team.

Your role

You will work closely with the food and beverage leadership team in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the Hotel and the satisfaction of guests.

Responsibilities of Food & Beverage Assistant will include but are not limited to:

• Preparing and serving any beverages requested by guests;
• Ensuring that all tables are set and ready for welcoming guests at all times;
• Ensuring that all guests’ orders are taken and executed in a timely manner;
• Ensuring that cleanliness is kept at the highest standards at all times in the Food & Beverage Outlets;
• Having good knowledge of the food and beverage menu;
• Responding to guests’ queries on the menu selection;
• Communicating any guests’ questions on the menu, the length of wait and product availability with the Food & Beverage and Kitchen teams, as well as any additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the teams accordingly.

The ideal person for this role will be enthusiastic about change, focused on details and trusting.

The core skills and experience required to succeed

• Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry;
• Previous restaurant or bar experience in a busy environment is preferred but not essential;
• Excellent personal presentation;
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures;
• Ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision;
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing ;
• To be an enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach.

You must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for this role. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from all candidates prior to commencing employment.
