Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a friendly Food and Beverage Team Member on a flexible bank basis at Silvermere Care Home in Cobham. You will support dining service and help residents with meals in a warm, respectful environment.

Ideal candidates have a basic Food Hygiene Certificate, experience in hospitality, and a commitment to excellent resident care. DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is beneficial.
• Experience in a restaurant, hotel, or care setting is desirable.
• Support dining service and residents with meals.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with choosing meals at dining time.
• Set tables and maintain dining area per SOP.
• Keep front of house clean and replenished with crockery/food items.
• Ensure dietary requirements are observed for residents.
• Provide fresh cakes/biscuits and finger foods in the dining areas.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Food and Beverage Team Member will be to support with the dining service and assisting residents with their meals.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the residents with choosing their meal options at the time of dining.


• Ensuring that dining tables are set in accordance with the standard operating procedures.


• Keeping front of house clean, tidy and well-presented, and that dirty crockery is removed and replenished throughout the day.


• Ensuring fresh homemade cakes/biscuits are accessible in the bistro areas are replenished throughout the day as well as finger food and fresh fruit options.


• Being aware of resident’s dietary requirements.
