Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Food and Beverage Team Member for Virginia Water Care Home in Virginia Water, Surrey. You will support dining services and assist residents with their meals, helping them choose options and ensuring a pleasant dining experience.

As part of our award-winning team, you will maintain high hygiene standards, keep dining areas tidy, and replenish items throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable values.
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene.
• Experience in a similar setting (restaurant or hotel) is desirable.
• A basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with choosing meal options at dining times.
• Set dining tables in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Keep front of house clean, tidy and well-presented; clear and replenish dirty crockery.
• Ensure fresh homemade cakes, biscuits, finger foods and fruit are available in the Bistro.
• Be aware of and accommodate residents' dietary requirements.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Food and Beverage Team Member will be to support with the dining service and assisting residents with their meals.

• Supporting the residents with choosing their meal options at the time of dining.
• Ensuring that dining tables are set in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
• Keeping front of house clean, tidy and well-presented, and that dirty crockery is removed and replenished throughout the day.
• Ensuring fresh homemade cakes/biscuits are accessible in the bistro areas are replenished throughout the day as well as finger food and fresh fruit options.
• Being aware of residents dietary requirements.
