Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group in Virginia Water, Surrey, is seeking a Food and Beverage Team Member for our Virginia Water Care Home. You will assist residents with meals, help set tables, and maintain a welcoming dining area throughout the day.

We value compassion and reliability, with opportunities to develop within a caring, supportive environment. Prior experience in hospitality is helpful, and a basic Food Hygiene Certificate is beneficial.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support residents with choosing meals at dining time.
• Set dining tables according to standard operating procedures.
• Keep front of house clean and well-presented; replenish dirty crockery throughout the day.
• Ensure fresh homemade cakes, biscuits, finger foods and fresh fruit are available in the bistro areas.
• Be aware of residents' dietary requirements.

Job description

Your focus as a Food and Beverage Team Member will be to support with the dining service and assisting residents with their meals. Other responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the residents with choosing their meal options at the time of dining.
• Ensuring that dining tables are set in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
• Keeping front of house clean, tidy and well-presented, and that dirty crockery is removed and replenished throughout the day.
• Ensuring fresh homemade cakes/biscuits are accessible in the bistro areas are replenished throughout the day as well as finger food and fresh fruit options.
• Being aware of resident's dietary requirements.
• To be successful in your application, you will live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable in all that you do.

Our ideal candidate must:

• Demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of culinary services to residents.
• Have experience of working in a similar setting, restaurant or hotel would be desirable.
