Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Food and Beverage Team Member on a Bank basis to join Virginia Water Care Home in Surrey. You will support dining services and assist residents with meals, while upholding the care home's standards and values.

Role requires good personal hygiene, flexibly covering shifts, and awareness of residents' dietary needs. A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is beneficial; DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK will be completed by Avery.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
• Experience in a similar setting, restaurant, or hotel desirable.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be beneficial.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of culinary services to residents.

Responsibilities

• Support the dining service and assist residents with their meals.
• Support residents with choosing their meal options when dining.
• Ensure dining tables are set according to SOPs.
• Keep front of house clean, tidy and well-presented; remove and replenish dirty crockery.
• Ensure fresh homemade cakes/biscuits are available in the bistro, with finger foods and fresh fruit options.
• Be aware of residents' dietary requirements.

We’re now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Food and Beverage Team Member - Bank at Virginia Water Care Home in Surrey.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Food and Beverage Team Member is to support the dining service and assist residents with their meals.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the residents with choosing their meal options when dining.
• Ensuring that the standard operating procedures set dining tables.
• Keeping the front of the house clean, tidy, and well-presented and ensuring dirty crockery is removed and replenished throughout the day.
• Ensure fresh homemade cakes/biscuits are accessible in the bistro areas and replenished throughout the day, as well as finger food and fresh fruit options.
• Being aware of resident’s dietary requirements.
