Job summary

Fowler Welch is seeking a Transport Supervisor at our Teynham site to lead traffic and driver teams, plan resources, and optimise vehicle utilisation. You will ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and clear driver instructions.

Role requires supervisory experience, team collaboration, and strong IT skills. The position sits within a supportive logistics environment that values development and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Transport experience ideally in a FMCG environment.
• Previous Supervisory experience.
• Able to work effectively in a team.
• Good national geographical knowledge.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office packages.
• Thoroughness/attention to detail.
• Knowledge & experience of tachograph / driving rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the traffic operations team and driver team in planning resources.
• Ensure vehicle utilisation and clear, precise driver instructions.
• Ensure transport operations comply with related regulations.
• Manage driver performance, hours, infringements, and vehicle checks.
• Communicate effectively with Transport team and drivers.
• Liaise with customers on service levels.
• Support and deputise for Transport Manager when needed.
