Job summary

FBC UK in Edinburgh bakery is seeking an organised Training Coordinator to plan, coordinate and track training for weekly paid employees, ensuring safety and effectiveness. You will manage onboarding through to competency sign-off, maintain training records, monitor compliance, and drive development plans in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• FMCG or manufacturing experience desirable.
• Labour planning, scheduling and resource management experience.
• Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration with multiple departments.
• Strong planning and organisational skills with ability to manage priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word for reports and records.
• People-focused approach with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• High attention to detail for training records and documentation.
• Comfort delivering presentations and facilitating training sessions.
• Adaptable and able to manage changing priorities and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Review labour demand plans to identify training needs and support workforce planning.
• Maintain and update training plans and competency matrices across bakery departments.
• Check in with trainees to monitor progress and milestones.
• Create and improve training checklists, competency assessments and sign-off docs.
• Deliver compliance and mandatory training programmes per standards and regulations.
• Manage SOPs across the bakery and ensure up-to-date documentation.
• Coordinate training for new starters, onboarding and probationary training within timescales.
• Maintain training records and submit for filing and audit purposes.
• Prepare and present training updates, reports and dashboards to managers.
• Act as training representative during audits, presenting records and compliance evidence.
