Job summary

FBC UK in Edinburgh is seeking an organised Training Coordinator to join our bakery team. You will plan, coordinate and track training for weekly paid staff, ensuring safety and skills are up to standard.

Collaborating with managers and operations, you’ll manage onboarding, induction, competency sign-off, maintain records, monitor compliance and deliver updates to stakeholders in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in FMCG or manufacturing environments is desirable.
• Proven skills in labour planning, scheduling and resource management.
• Ability to work with multiple departments and stakeholders to achieve goals.
• Strong planning, organisation and prioritisation abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word for reporting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage staff at all levels.
• High accuracy with training records and documentation.
• Confident presenter capable of delivering training sessions.
• Flexible and resilient to changing business needs and improvements.

Responsibilities

• Review labour plans to identify training needs and support planning.
• Maintain and update training plans and competency matrices by department.
• Check in with trainees, monitor progress and milestones.
• Create and improve training checklists, assessments and sign-offs.
• Deliver mandatory training and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage SOPs across the bakery and keep them current.
• Coordinate onboarding and probationary training for new starters.
• Maintain training records for filing and audits.
• Prepare and present training updates and reports to managers.
• Act as training representative during audits with evidence and confidence.
