Job summary

B&M Retail Limited is seeking a Merchandiser for its FMCG team at the Speke support centre, Liverpool. You will work alongside the Buyer on day-to-day activities in a busy department, ensuring timely stock orders and data-driven decisions.

From forecasting lines to maintaining stock levels, you will use Excel to manipulate reports and drive performance during peak trading periods, building strong supplier relationships along the way.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Merchandiser or a Junior Merchandiser eager to step up.
• Results orientated with a track record of achieving targets & delivering growth.
• Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Able to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, methodical with numbers.
• Able to utilise data to fully understand customer behaviour and habits.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, in particular Excel.
• Experience within a FMCG or Retail environment is desired but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with weekly stock orders and manage orders into the business efficiently.
• Drive performance for key trading periods such as new product launches and seasonal peaks.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure accuracy throughout the year.
• Analyse data and trends to identify gaps and drive informed decisions.
• Cultivate close relationships with suppliers to maximise sales and profit across the range.
• Maintain and update WSSI's and Line cards daily.
