Job summary

B&M Retail Limited in Liverpool is seeking a hands-on Merchandiser to work in a fast-paced FMCG team. You will support the Buyer with daily running of a busy department and you’ll be office-based at our Support Centre in Speke, Liverpool L24.

The role focuses on weekly stock orders, forecasting and data analysis to optimise stock and maximise sales. Proficiency in Excel and strong stakeholder relationships with suppliers are essential, with opportunities to grow within a leading retailer.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Merchandiser or a Junior Merchandiser eager to step up.
• Results orientated with a track record of achieving targets and delivering growth.
• Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Able to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, methodical with numbers.
• Able to utilise data to fully understand customer behaviour and habits.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, in particular Excel.
• Experience within a FMCG or Retail environment is desired but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the creation of weekly stock orders, managing orders into the business efficiently
• Driving performance for key trading periods i.e. new product range launches, seasonal peaks etc
• Working to tight restrictions ensuring stock is maintained throughout the year at the correct levels
• Analysing data & current trends to make the right decisions, identifying "gaps" in current market
• Cultivating close working relationships with key suppliers to maximise sales/profit throughout the range
• Maintain and update WSSI's &Line cards on a daily basis
• Working to calendars, which involves forecasting crucial lines for long periods
• Proficient in the use of Excel to manipulate reports into the desired information

Are you a Merchandiser looking for an exciting new opportunity in a fast-paced business? If the answer is yes, then we want to speak to you!

We have a role for a Merchandiser to join our FMCG team. In this role, you will be working alongside the Buyer with the day-to-day running of a busy department. The role is full time, office based at our Support Centre in Speke, Liverpool L24.
