Job summary

Zachary Daniels is seeking a commercially minded Merchandiser to join its consumer products and gifting team in Leeds. This hands-on role covers forecasting, replenishment, and stock planning, with exposure to international supply chain and end-to-end product ownership.

You will analyse sales and stock data, raise purchase orders, manage supplier relationships, and coordinate international shipments to ensure the right stock at the right time.

Qualifications

• Retail merchandising background with forecasting, replenishment and stock planning experience.
• Strong data analysis and Excel skills to interpret sales and stock performance.
• Experience managing suppliers and coordinating international shipments when required.

Responsibilities

Merchandiser | Consumer Products & Gifting | Leeds

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially focused Merchandiser to join a growing product-led business.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining commercial merchandising, forecasting, replenishment and international supply chain, giving you the opportunity to take ownership across the full product journey - from forecasting and stock planning through to purchasing, supplier management, international shipping and final delivery.

We're looking for someone with a retail merchandising background, who is confident analysing sales and stock data, forecasting demand and making commercial replenishment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse sales, stock and product performance to produce accurate forecasts and replenishment plans.
• Monitor stock levels, stock cover and sales trends, identifying opportunities for replenishment, transfers and range changes.
• Use commercial and trading data to support purchasing and inventory decisions, ensuring the right stock is available at the right time.
• Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring orders are accurately maintained from placement through to delivery.
• Track supplier costs, margins and landed costs, highlighting any changes that may impact profitability.
• Work closely with overseas suppliers to monitor production progress, lead times and order quantities.
• Maintain accurate product, pricing, costing, barcode and stock data across internal systems.
• Develop positive relationships with suppliers and resolve issues relating to quality, production, pricing or delivery.
• Coordinate product testing, quality checks and relevant supplier documentation where required.
• Arrange and monitor international shipments, working closely with freight partners and warehouses.

About You

• Previous experience within retail merchandising, ideally with responsibility for forecasting, replenishment and stock planning.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Confidence working with Excel and data.
• Experience managing purchase orders and supplier information.
• An understanding of international shipping and import processes.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive approach to problem solving, with the confidence to chase, challenge and find solutions.
