Job summary

Mason James Appointments (UK) Ltd is recruiting an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician (Electrical Bias) to join a leading, highly automated manufacturing facility in Magor, South Wales. You will maintain, fault-find and improve high-speed production equipment to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.

The role offers a total annual cash package of £56,428, including a basic salary of £53,928, an annual performance bonus of up to £2,500, and benefits such as pension, private

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in high-speed manufacturing, FMCG or processing environments.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with PLCs, motors, sensors and automated control systems.
• Good mechanical maintenance knowledge and a multi-skilled approach.
• Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics or utilities equipment would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on high-speed automated manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults to minimise production downtime.
• Maintain and optimise production, packaging and utilities equipment.
• Fault-find on PLC-controlled machinery, motors, sensors and electrical control systems.
• Work with pneumatics, hydraulics, compressors and refrigeration systems where required.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety standards.
