Job summary

Synergi Recruitment is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) for a leading UK food producer. You will maintain production and packaging equipment, respond to breakdowns, and drive continuous improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires strong electrical fault-finding, ability to interpret diagrams, experience with inverters and control panels, and a hands-on, proactive approach to maintenance.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Strong electrical fault-finding experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams.
• Experience with inverters and control panels.
• Reactive and basic mechanical maintenance skills.
• Previous UK manufacturing experience.
• Positive, proactive, hands-on approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns.
• Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
• Fault-find within control panels and work with inverters.
• Maintain production and packaging machinery.
• Support site reliability and minimise downtime.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work safely in a fast-paced production environment.
