Job summary
Precision People in Magor, South Wales, seeks a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to maintain and diagnose high-automation equipment in a large FMCG site. You will own electrical and mechanical breakdowns, support conveyors, stacker cranes and sensors, and drive continuous improvements within a fast-paced operation. On offer is a £53,000 salary, a 4 on/4 off days & nights pattern, and strong pension and private medical benefits.
Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering - essential.
Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Good hands-on mechanical maintenance experience.
Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing, FMCG, production or automated environment.
Able to work independently and take ownership of breakdowns.
Happy working a 4 on / 4 off days and nights shift pattern.
PLC fault-finding knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential.
Responsibilities
Planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance.
Fault finding and breakdown repair across automated equipment.
Maintain conveyors, drives, motors, sensors and mechanical systems.
Take ownership of breakdowns from initial diagnosis through to permanent resolution.
Identify recurring faults and implement reliability and continuous improvements.
Work closely with OEMs and contractors on technical issues.
Support and improve preventative maintenance procedures.
Record maintenance activity using SAP/CMMS systems.
Work as part of a small, experienced engineering and operations team.
