Job summary

Sofina Foods is seeking an Engineering Shift Supervisor to lead maintenance across the South Quay site, linking Engineering and Operations to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance. You will manage people, budgets, and priorities while driving food safety and continuous improvement.

This hands-on leadership role requires an engineering background in FMCG, evidence of effective stakeholder engagement, and a track record of delivering value for money through strong maintenance

Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• NEBOSH Certificate.
• Electrical qualification 16th/17th Edition or above.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food manufacturing.
• Experience with audits and maintaining an audit-ready site.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering team with the right skills and resources.
• Act as a key link between Engineering, Operations, HSE and site teams to deliver priorities.
• Use engineering data to identify issues, set priorities and improve site performance.
• Ensure planned preventative maintenance is effective and continuously improved.
• Maintain equipment to meet safety, efficiency, and quality standards.
• Manage the engineering maintenance budget and resources for value for money.
