London Borough of Redbridge seeks a practical, qualified electrician/maintenance technician to join its responsive maintenance team in Ilford. You will carry out planned and reactive repairs across Redbridge's property portfolio, with core electrical work and additional multi-trade tasks to support residents, schools and staff.
The role requires City & Guilds 2365/Level 3 Electrical Installation, 18th Edition BS 7671, and a valid UK driving licence.
Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.
We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the city.
Redbridge Facilities Management maintains over 600 properties -schools, offices, community centres and public buildings - across the borough. We keep our estates safe, warm and in good repair. We're seeking a practical, qualified and versatile technician with strong electrical expertise to join our responsive maintenance team.
You will carry out planned and reactive repairs, maintenance and minor improvements across Redbridge's property portfolio.
Electrical work is your core strength, but you will also confidently handle general building, plumbing, heating and carpentry tasks. You'll work independently and as part of a team, delivering high-quality work to residents, schools and staff.
