The Best Connection is recruiting a Machine Operator for a hands-on role in a thriving Stockport manufacturing site.

Your day-to-day includes operating production machinery, ensuring parts meet specs, and maintaining a safe, clean working environment in line with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience.
• Strong awareness of Health & Safety procedures.
• FLT experience and confidence operating FLT equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery safely and efficiently.
• Monitor production processes and product quality.
• Load materials and components into machines.
• Carry out basic machine checks and report faults.
• Follow work instructions and production schedules.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in the production area.
• Adhere to Health & Safety procedures.
• Assist with stock movement and material handling when required.

The Role

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating production machinery, ensuring products are manufactured to specification, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently
• Monitoring production processes and product quality
• Loading materials and components into machines
• Carrying out basic machine checks and reporting faults
• Following work instructions and production schedules
• Maintaining high housekeeping standards throughout the production area
• Adhering to all company Health & Safety procedures
• Assisting with stock movement and material handling using FLT equipment when required

What We're Looking For

• Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience
• Strong awareness and understanding of Health & Safety procedures
• Some FLT (Fork Lift Truck) experience and confidence operating FLT equipment
• Good attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude
