Job summary

MTrec Ltd in Prudhoe (North East England) is seeking a production operative to operate a counterbalance forklift and support warehouse duties within a busy manufacturing site.

You will load and unload wagons, complete basic paperwork and coordinate with other shifts to achieve plant KPIs, using a counterbalance forklift and, where trained, overhead cranes. PPE must be worn at all times during duties.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Counter-balance licence.
• Experience operating counterbalance forklift in a fast-paced production environment.
• Physically fit for handling heavy products.
• Able to work independently or in a team and meet team objectives.
• Ensure procedures are followed and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Operate production processes and load/unload wagons with a counterbalance forklift.
• Complete basic paperwork and update computer systems.
• Work as a team with colleagues and other shifts to meet KPIs for the plant area.
• Transport materials within the warehouse using a counterbalance forklift and overhead crane where trained.
• Maintain full plant records and data sheets.
• Assist maintenance to clean and replace production machinery.
• Wear PPE including safety glasses and ear protection at all times.

The Hours You'll Work;

• * Continental Shift pattern
• * 2 x 12 hour day shift followed by 2 x 12 hour night shift then 4 days off
• * 07.00 am - 19.00pm / 19:00pm - 07:00 am
• * (Must be able to work both rotations)

The Pay You'll Receive;

• * £16.47 per hour

• * MTrec are currently recruiting for a well-established manufacturing firm based in the Prudhoe area.

The Job You'll Do;

• * Competent in the operation of all relevant production processes
• * Loading and unloading of wagons with a counterbalance forklift truck
• * Completing basic paperwork and updating computer systems
• * Work as a team with colleagues and other shifts to ensure the relevant KPIs are met for the plant area
• * Operation of a counterbalance forklift truck licence for transporting materials within the warehouse
• * Trained to operate overhead cranes for transporting materials within the warehouse
• * Accurately maintain full plant records and data sheets
• * Competent to safely operate a forklift truck, as required
• * Assist maintenance to clean and replace production machinery
• * Able to wear the correct PPE, including safety glasses, and ear protection at all times.
