Job summary

Pertemps Bond in Manchester is seeking an experienced FLT Driver for a temp-to-perm role at Trafford Park. You will safely operate counterbalance forklifts, load/unload, move stock, and pick, pack as part of a fast-paced warehouse.

The role offers 4on 4off shifts (7am-7pm and 7pm-7am), breaks, and an hourly pay rate of £14.33 with overtime at £19.04 after 48 hours.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence is essential.
• Previous warehouse experience required.
• Experience with a double pallet forklift is preferred; training may be provided.
• Good attention to detail and reliability.
• Punctual and able to work in a fast-paced warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate counterbalance forklifts and other MHE.
• Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
• Move and organise stock within the warehouse using Counterbalance truck.
• Operate double pallet forklifts where required (training provided).
• Pick, pack and stage customer orders.
• Complete routine forklift and equipment safety checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Follow all health & safety procedures.
• Ensure stock is handled accurately at all times.

FLT Driver – Temp to Perm role | Trafford Park
Location: Trafford Park
Pay Rate: £14.33 per hour and Overtime rate is £19.04p/h over 48 hours a week
Shifts: 4on 4off rotating with 2days shift (7am to 7pm) and 2 Nights shift (7pm to7am)

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced FLT Driver to join a major logistics supplier based in Trafford Park. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced forklift driver looking for Temp to Perm full time work within a fast-paced warehouse environment. There is also the potential for a long-term position following a successful temporary period of 12 weeks.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate counterbalance forklifts and other MHE.
• Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
• Move and organise stock within the warehouse using Counterbalance truck.
• Operate double pallet forklifts where required (Training will be provided).
• Pick, pack and stage customer orders.

• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
• Follow all company health & safety procedures.
• Ensure stock is handled accurately and safely at all times.

What We're Looking For

• Valid Counterbalance FLT Licence – Essential
• Previous warehouse experience.
• Experience operating a double pallet forklift is preferred, although training may be provided.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Break Information

75 minutes total — 3 × 15-minute breaks and 1 × 30-minute break.

Before You Start

All successful candidates will be required to complete an FLT assessment and site induction before starting work.
