Qualifications

• Hold a valid AITT, RTITB, ITSSAR or NPORS Reach Truck and or Counterbalance Driver Licence.
• Experience of working in a busy warehouse environment.
• Good team working and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all stock is taken care of in a safe manner.
• Perform pre-shift safety checks on vehicles.
• Report any vehicle faults to the line manager.

Overview

Join our team as a FLT Driver based at our distribution centre in Tankersley

We are looking for hard working individuals that are enthusiastic and enjoy a challenge to join our team at our Distribution Centre in Tankersley, South Yorkshire.

The role of FLT Driver is pivotal to the success of the operational function. The successful candidate will be responsible for moving produce around the warehouse in a safe, timely and accurate manner. Experience is essential due to the nature of the role.

Hours/ shifts: we have various shift patterns available across our 3 shifts. You will be asked to state which positions you are interested in when applying

AM Shift

Vacancy A: Reach Sunday-Thursday, working hours are Sunday 8:00am-4:00pm and Mon-Thursday 6:00am-2:00pm

Vacancy B: Counterbalance Tuesday-Saturday, working hours are Saturday 08:00am-4:00pm and Tuesday-Friday 06:00am-2:00pm

PM shift

Vacancy C: Counterbalance FLT driver - 37.5 hours per week working Tuesday to Saturday. The working hours are from 2pm to 10pm Tuesday to Friday and 10am to 6pm Saturday

Vacancy D: Reach FLT driver-Tuesday-Saturday working hours are 10:00am-18:00 hours and Tuesday-Friday 2:00pm-10:00pm

Night shift

Vacancy F: Counterbalance FLT driver - 38 hours per week working Friday to Monday. The working hours are 06:00am-4:30pm Friday-Monday and Saturday and Sundays 08:00am-6:30pm

The above roles will involve working in the chill and ambient departments

Location: Company Shop Group, Tankersley Distribution Centre, Wentworth Way, Wentworth Industrial Estate, Tankersley, Barnsley, South Yorkshire S75 3DH

Rate of Pay: £14.15 per hour, paid on a four weekly basis

Night Shift Allowance: An additional £1.25 per hour is provided for night shifts

Please note, our team operates around the clock, 24/7, and the successful candidates will be required to work bank holidays.

Accountabilities and responsibilities

• To ensure all stock is taken care of in a safe and proper manner
• Ensure that all pre shift safety checks are completed
• Report any faults or issues with vehicles immediately to your line manager
• Report all accidents/near misses to your line manager
• Move pallets systemically via the warehouse management system
• Check all products for dispatching are accurate and free from damage
• Efficiently move products/orders to the correct areas in the warehouse
• Ensure picking areas are replenished throughout the day
• Maintain equipment and materials that are used, and keep your area clean and tidy
• Ensure you conduct all operations in a manner which promotes safety in the workplace
• Follow all Health and Safety and Environmental procedures
• To ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed in a timely and diligent manner
• Adhere to the Clean As You Go policy at all times
• Assist with other warehouse duties as required

Skills and Experience
