Job summary

Travail-Employment-Group seeks an experienced FLT driver to join a medium sized steel manufacturing business in Rotherham. You will drive a counterbalance forklift and handle despatch tasks to support timely product dispatch.

The role is Monday to Friday, days only (6am–2pm), with potential progression to permanent status and a range of benefits. Applicants must provide a copy of their FLT license and demonstrate a strong health and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Copy of FLT Counterbalance license (expired licenses accepted with copy).
• Experience in a similar role within foundry/steel/manufacturing environment.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Good understanding of health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Move goods around the factory using a Forklift counterbalance.
• Palletise products and wrap using wrapping machine or forklift.
• Ensure timely dispatch of all products and update despatch paperwork.

Upto £15p/h, Monday to Friday, Days only 6am – 2pm, Temporary to permanent, Weekly pay, Increased holidays after 12 weeks, training and development opportunities, Rotherham S60.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a medium sized steel manufacturing business on a full time temporary to permanent basis. They boast an extremely healthy order book and are predominately manufacturing made to order products for the oil and gas industry.

Reporting into the Production Manager you will be working as part of a small and friendly team to ensure the timely despatch of goods. This is a combination role where you will be driving forklifts and carrying out despatch related tasks, if you are looking for a role that is solely FLT work then this is not the right role for you. Your day to day responsibilities will include;

• Moving goods around the factory using Forklift counterbalance.
• Palletising products.
• Wrapping using either wrapping machine or Forklift.
• Ensure timely dispatch of all products.
• Updating despatch paperwork.

This role would suit someone who has worked as either FLT Driver, forklift driver, goods out, despatch or dispatch operative within a foundry, steel works or heavy engineering/ manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will have:

• A copy of your own FLT Counterbalance license (can be expired but must be able to provide a copy of a previous license).
• Experience within a similar role or environment.
• A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Good understanding of health and safety.
