Job summary

Novara People Ltd’s client in Leeds is seeking an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a busy warehouse team. You will move stock, load and unload vehicles, and provide materials to production while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

The role includes regular overtime with flexibility for evenings, nights, and weekends when required; hours are typically Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, with overtime paid at enhanced rates.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Counterbalance FLT licence (RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent).
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Experience operating a Counterbalance FLT in a warehouse/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations and health & safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck.
• Load and unload deliveries efficiently.
• Move raw materials and finished goods around the warehouse.
• Supply production areas with materials as required.
• Book stock in and out accurately.
• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
• Carry out routine FLT safety checks.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in the warehouse.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.

Our client is a long-established manufacturing business supplying specialist industrial products to customers across the UK and internationally. Renowned for producing high-quality products and delivering excellent service, they work with businesses across a variety of sectors including manufacturing, engineering and construction.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join their busy warehouse team based in Leeds.

The Role

As an FLT Counterbalance Driver, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the warehouse and production operation. You'll be responsible for safely moving stock, loading and unloading vehicles, supplying production with materials and supporting the warehouse team with day-to-day operations.

This role offers regular overtime, so we're looking for someone who is flexible and willing to work additional hours, including evenings, nights and weekends when required.

Hours

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Must be willing to work over time. Potentially weekends and nights paid at over time rates.
