Job summary

ST Selection Ltd is seeking a Despatch & Warehouse Operative to support the movement of materials and finished goods, ensuring orders are prepared, recorded and despatched on time. The role covers despatch and goods‑in tasks, emphasising accuracy, safety and tidy work areas.

The successful candidate will have warehouse experience, good IT skills, reliability and a careful approach to stock control, with a driving licence and the possibility to train on forklift use.

Qualifications

• Experience in general warehouse duties, despatch and goods‑in activities.
• Experience booking in, receiving and inspecting goods.
• Good IT skills, strong organisation and excellent attention to detail.
• A reliable, flexible approach, good timekeeping and clear communication skills.
• A full driving licence.
• FLT licence is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Picking orders, assembling boxes and scanning finished products ready for despatch.
• Preparing despatch paperwork and pallet sheets, and banding pallets securely.
• Receiving, counting and inspecting incoming goods and materials.
• Recording deliveries on the computer system and maintaining accurate stock records.
• Carrying out stock checks and using measuring equipment and weighing scales.
• Quality inspection of products.
• Using a forklift truck where required (training can be provided).
• Disposing of waste materials and undertaking collections or deliveries when necessary.

DESPATCH & WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE

37 hours per week | Early finish every Friday

Are you organised, reliable and keen to play an important part in keeping a busy operation running smoothly? We’re looking for a Despatch & Warehouse Operative to support the movement of materials and finished goods, helping ensure orders are accurately prepared, recorded and despatched on time.

This is a varied, hands‑on role covering both despatch and goods‑in activities, with a focus on accuracy, safe working practices and keeping the warehouse and surrounding areas clean and organised.

What you’ll be doing

• Picking orders, assembling boxes and scanning finished products ready for despatch.
• Preparing despatch paperwork and pallet sheets, and banding pallets securely.
• Receiving, counting and inspecting incoming goods and materials.
• Recording deliveries on the computer system and maintaining accurate stock records.
• Carrying out stock checks and using measuring equipment and weighing scales.
• Quality inspection of products.
• Using a forklift truck where required (small part of the role so training can be provided by the company).
• Disposing of waste materials and undertaking collections or deliveries when necessary.
