Job summary

Gi Group UK is recruiting a skilled Counterbalance Forklift Driver for a busy operation in Lichfield. The role emphasises safe, accurate handling to minimise damage to stock and equipment, with 70% forklift work and 30% general warehouse duties.

Pay rate is £15.00 per hour on a PM shift (6:00pm–2:00am), Monday to Friday. Applicants should have at least 12 months counterbalance forklift experience and be reliable, safety-minded, and able to work independently.

We're recruiting a skilled Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join a busy operation in Lichfield. This is a great opportunity for someone confident on a counterbalance truck who takes pride in safe, accurate handling to minimise damage to stock and equipment.

Pay rate

• £15.00 per hour

Shift pattern

• Monday to Friday
• 6:00pm - 2.00am

Key responsibilities

• Operating a counterbalance forklift to move, store and pick stock safely and efficiently
• Loading containers correctly to maximise space and ensure secure, compliant loads
• Working accurately to reduce risk of damage to stock, racking and equipment
• Supporting general warehouse duties as required, keeping the work area clean and safe

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 12 months’ counterbalance forklift experience (essential)
• Confident, competent forklift operator with a strong focus on safety and care
• Experience using long fork attachments (highly desirable)
• Good understanding of container loading / space optimisation
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently on a PM shift
