Job summary

Gi Group (UK) is recruiting a Counterbalance Forklift Driver for the PM shift at Sheldon/Yardley, near Birmingham. The role requires safe operation of a counterbalance forklift and a commitment to accurate handling to minimise stock and equipment damage.

The position involves 70% forklift work and 30% general warehouse tasks, with a PM shift from 4:00pm to 12:00am, Monday to Friday. Prior experience with long fork attachments and container loading is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months counterbalance forklift experience (essential).
• Confident, competent forklift operator with a strong focus on safety and care.
• Experience using long fork attachments (highly desirable).
• Good understanding of container loading and space optimisation.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently on a PM shift.

Responsibilities

• Operating a counterbalance forklift to move, store and pick stock safely and efficiently.

Forklift Counterbalance Driver (PM Shift) - Sheldon/Yardley | £12.71 per hour

We're recruiting a skilled Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join a busy operation in Sheldon/Yardley. This is a great opportunity for someone confident on a counterbalance truck who takes pride in safe, accurate handling to minimise damage to stock and equipment.

Shift pattern

Monday to Friday

4:00pm - 12:00am (midnight)

Key responsibilities

• Operating a counterbalance forklift to move, store and pick stock safely and efficiently
• Loading containers correctly to maximise space and ensure secure, compliant loads
• Working accurately to reduce risk of damage to stock, racking and equipment
• Supporting general warehouse duties as required, keeping the work area clean and safe

What we're looking for
