Job summary

GI Group Main Account in Lichfield (WS14) is seeking an experienced warehouse operative to operate a counterbalance forklift and support loading/unloading. You will move palletised goods, assist with picking and put-away, and follow all health and safety and site procedures.

8am-4pm, Monday to Friday, £13.50 per hour, ongoing work with potential for long-term opportunities. You must hold a valid Counterbalance FLT licence (in-house licences not accepted) and have at least 12 months' recent

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (in house licences not accepted).
• Minimum 12 months recent experience operating a counterbalance FLT in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Good understanding of safe working practices and warehousing processes.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work the full day shift.

The Role

Working as part of the warehouse and logistics operation, you will be responsible for:

• Safely operating a counterbalance forklift truck
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Moving, stacking and relocating palletised goods in the warehouse
• Assisting with picking and put-away of stock
• Following all site health & safety and warehouse procedures
• Working as part of the team to meet daily targets and deadlines

Hours: 8am-4pm

Days: Monday to Friday

Pay: £13.50 per hour

Requirements

Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (in house not accepted)

Minimum 12 months recent experience operating a counterbalance FLT in a warehouse or logistics environment

• Good understanding of safe working practices and warehousing processes
• Reliable, punctual and able to work the full afternoon/evening shift pattern
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Regular Monday-Friday shifts - no rotating shifts or nights
