Job summary

Dematic in Ellistown is seeking a proactive first-line support technician to assist with equipment under the CS contract, ensuring delivery to Dematic and customer expectations while helping achieve KPI targets.

You will work with engineering on fault resolution, maintain smooth product flow, and represent the company professionally on site. The role emphasizes safety, 5S, and continuous improvement within a warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Basic IT competency across common software.
• SafePass and CSCS desirable.
• Experience with automated systems in a warehouse or production setting.
• Desirable working at height experience.
• Proven safe working history and positive safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line support to equipment in the Dematic contract.
• Maintain product flow and assist with faults alongside engineering.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and customer relations on site.
• Accurately record all work and adhere to quality processes.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Principal Accountabilities

• To comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times and promote a positive H&S culture.
• KPI focused with a mentality to over achieve where possible
• Provide first-line support to all equipment in scope of the Dematic contract.
• Maintain product flow at all times.
• Provide basic fault resolution and contribute towards complex faults alongside the engineering team
• As required, provide assistance in maintenance and breakdown situations to the engineering team
• To work within the manufacturers recommendations and industry standard practices
• To drive 5S and value-add practices across site
• Prioritisation of multiple system faults
• To ensure quality of output at all times
• To accurately record all work undertaken
• Involvement in continuous improvement and sales opportunities
• To represent the company in a professional manner at all times and maintain customer relations
• To adhere to the Quality processes and procedures as set out by the company

Knowledge & Experience Required

• Basic key-skills and basic IT competency
• SafePass, CSCS Card (desirable)
• Previous experience/knowledge of automated systems, warehouse or production environment
• Working at height experience (desirable)
• Demonstratable history of safe working and contribution towards a positive working culture
