Job summary

A.G. Flooring Ltd is seeking a motivated Flooring Apprentice in Manchester to join an experienced team. You will learn hands-on floor preparation and installation of vinyl, LVT, safety flooring, carpet and screeds across commercial environments.

The apprenticeship runs for about 2 years 6 months with WEBS TRAINING LIMITED, offering ongoing training and development and career progression in flooring.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at 9–4 (A–C) preferred.
• Hands-on training in floor preparation and installation.
• Opportunity to gain qualifications and long-term career in flooring.

Responsibilities

• Learn floor preparation and installation of vinyl, LVT, safety flooring, carpet and screeds.
• Daily tasks include removing old flooring and preparing the floor for new products.
• Assist with site clean-up and handover of completed flooring works.

About the Employer

A.G. Flooring Ltd specializes in the installation of contract floor coverings delivering mainly to local Health Authorities, local Councils, Education sectors, Care Homes, Retail sectors and local Businesses. Supplying and installing all types of contract floor coverings such as commercial vinyl/vinyl tiles, floor preparation works, contract carpets/carpet tiles, Entrance Matting, and bespoke works for clean/wet rooms.

What You'll Do

You will learn how to prepare floors and install a range of flooring products, including vinyl, LVT, safety flooring, carpet and screeds, across commercial, healthcare and other environments.

Daily tasks:

• Taking up existing flooring
• Disposing of existing flooring
• Cleaning/brushing the floor to prepare it for preparation products
• Mixing floor preparation products
• Applying floor preparation products
• Installing new flooring products
• Cleaning/clearing work area

Training Outcome

Once qualified, there will be:
