Job summary

AllPro Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Floor Layer with Cap & Cove experience to cover social housing properties across the Midlands. You must have your own van and tools, a Full UK Driving Licence, and be prepared to work self-employed CIS terms for £900-£1000 per week plus fuel.

Role involves installing Cap & Cove vinyl flooring, sheet vinyl and safety flooring, preparing subfloors, and delivering high workmanship in occupied and void properties.

Qualifications

• Cap & Cove experience is essential.
• Experience with sheet vinyl and safety flooring is required.
• Experience in wet rooms and bathrooms is preferred.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• Own van and tools are essential.

Responsibilities

• Install Cap & Cove vinyl flooring systems to a high standard.
• Carry out flooring installations in bathrooms, wet rooms, kitchens and other areas.
• Install sheet vinyl and safety flooring.
• Form and install coved flooring to walls and upstands.
• Accurately measure, cut, fit and weld vinyl flooring.
• Prepare subfloors prior to installation.
• Remove existing flooring and prepare surfaces for new installations.
• Complete floor repairs and remedial works.
• Work around sanitaryware, pipework, doorways and fixtures to finish neatly.
• Carry out flooring works in both occupied and void social housing properties.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Provide a professional service when working within tenants' homes.

AllPro Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an established contractor for experienced Floor Layers with Cap & Cove experience to work across social housing properties throughout the Midlands.

The Role

• Install Cap & Cove vinyl flooring systems to a high standard
• Carry out flooring installations within bathrooms, wet rooms, kitchens and other areas
• Install sheet vinyl and safety flooring
• Form and install coved flooring to walls and upstands
• Carry out accurate measuring, cutting, fitting and welding of vinyl flooring
• Prepare subfloors prior to installation
• Remove existing flooring and prepare surfaces for new installations
• Complete floor repairs and remedial works
• Work around sanitaryware, pipework, doorways and other fixtures to achieve a neat finish
• Carry out flooring works within both occupied and void social housing properties

What We're Looking For

• Experienced Floor Layer
• Strong Cap & Cove experience is essential
• Experience installing sheet vinyl and safety flooring
• Experience preparing floors and using latex/self-levelling compounds
• Previous experience working in wet rooms and bathrooms
• Social housing or property maintenance experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily workload
• Excellent attention to detail and high standards of workmanship
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Own van and tools essential
