Job summary

Connolly Limited in West Yorkshire is seeking experienced Floorlayers for long-term work on social housing refurbishment programmes. The role involves floor preparation and installation, delivering high-quality finishes in occupied and void properties.

You will install vinyl and safety flooring, carry out repairs, and maintain safe, clean work areas while working on a responsive, resident-focused service within a wider site team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Floorlayer.
• Experience within Social Housing or occupied properties is desirable.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare subfloors and surfaces for floor coverings.
• Install vinyl and safety flooring products.
• Carry out flooring repairs where required.
• Work within occupied and void properties.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, Connolly is looking for experienced Floorlayers to join our Social Housing team across West Yorkshire.

Working on kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programmes within occupied and void properties, you'll play a key role in delivering quality finishes for residents.

The Role

As a Floorlayer, you'll be responsible for carrying out floor preparation and installation works to a high standard, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to residents.

What You'll Be Doing

• Preparing subfloors and surfaces for floor coverings
• Installing a range of flooring products, including vinyl and safety flooring
• Carrying out flooring repairs where required
• Working within occupied and void properties
• Maintaining clean, safe and tidy working areas
• Ensuring all works are completed in line with Health & Safety requirements
• Providing a professional and customer-focused service to residents
• Working independently and as part of a wider site team

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Floorlayer
• Experience within Social Housing or occupied properties is desirable
• Relevant trade qualification (preferred)
• Full UK Driving Licence
• CSCS Card preferred but not essential
• Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
