Job summary

Build Recruitment are seeking an experienced Floor Layer to join a social housing contractor in Kingston and surrounding areas. You will install PolySafe, vinyl and lino flooring in occupied and void properties, including cap & cove systems and wet rooms.

Must have own tools (Vinyl Welder) and a Full UK Driving Licence, with a focus on quality and health & safety. Permanent, full-time role offering a competitive salary (£35,000–£38,000), long-term career stability and a busy repairs team

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Floor Layer within social housing or domestic maintenance.
• Confident fitting PolySafe, vinyl and lino flooring.
• Cap & Cove installations and wet room flooring experience.
• Own tools, including a Vinyl Welder, are essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Installation of PolySafe, vinyl and lino flooring to a high standard.
• Fitting Cap & Cove flooring systems.
• Carrying out flooring works within wet rooms.
• Completing responsive repairs and planned maintenance flooring works.
• Working in occupied and void social housing properties.
• Delivering excellent customer service while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations and company standards.
