Job summary

Hamilton Woods Associates are recruiting a Floorer to work on social housing properties in South Manchester on a temporary basis. A van and fuel card are provided, with travel across Greater Manchester required. 35 hours per week across a temporary 2‑month+ assignment.

The role involves installing, repairing and maintaining flooring types (LVT, laminate, vinyl, carpet, safety flooring) and ensuring health and safety compliance while delivering excellent tenant service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a similar role is essential.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS check is essential.
• Social housing experience is advantageous.
• Experience within cap and cove flooring is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Installing, replacing, and repairing a wide range of flooring including LVT, laminate, vinyl, carpet and safety flooring.
• Preparing work areas.
• Carrying out levelling, laying underlays and applying smoothing compounds.
• Completing associated tasks such as trimming doors or fixing skirtings.
• Carrying out repairs to existing flooring, including tears, welded seams, lifting edges, wet‑room repairs, and safety‑flooring capping and coving.
• Ensuring adherence to health and safety procedures.
• Providing excellent customer service to tenants.

Hamilton Woods Associates are currently recruiting for a floorer to work on social housing properties on an initial temporary basis. Travel across Greater Manchester will be required. A van and fuel card is provided

Duties of the Floorer

• Installing, replacing, and repairing a wide range of flooring including LVT, laminate, vinyl, carpet and safety flooring
