Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking an experienced Floor Layer to join the Responsive Repairs and Voids division. The role covers Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire and occasionally Cumbria, with 39 hours per week and on-call duties.

You will lay vinyl, carpet, and related flooring across social housing void properties while supporting repairs when needed. The position offers stable, long‑term work, a company van and fuel card, pension, tools, training, and a refer-a-friend scheme.

Qualifications

• Floor laying background essential.
• Social Housing experience preferred.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• DBS check required; refresher training if expired.

Responsibilities

• Work on void properties with some responsive repairs.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Floor Layer to join Novus Property Solutions, Responsive Repairs and Voids division, providing high-quality floor laying within Social Housing void properties and covering on call responsive repairs when requried

An outline of your responsibilities and experience

• Applications are welcome from experienced candidates that have a Floor Laying background.Works including but not limited to; measuring, ordering and fitting various flooring types of vinyl, carpet, carpet tiles, including cap and cove. Self-level and screeding
  
• Working on Void properties in the main with some Responsive Repairs in tenanted properties
• Social Housing/domestic experience is essential.
• Working from job tickets or a handheld device on a daily basis linked to a live shared system.
• Trusted to manage your own day and workload effectively
• Always delivering an outstanding service to customers with the understanding that you are working in their homes
• Following Novus’ exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards
• Floor laying qualifications are advantageous
• Candidates will also require Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling training. Where these certifications have expired, refresher training can be provided by Novus.
• Full UK driving license is required.
• The role will also require a DBS check to be completed
