Arup is offering an Industrial Internship in Flood Risk Management for a 10-12 month period in Birmingham or Cardiff. The role provides hands-on experience on real projects, exposure to senior leadership, site visits, and broad learning sessions.

Start date is targeted for 1 September 2027, with a closing date of 12 November 2026 and a pathway to future opportunities within Arup. You will work with professionals across catchment science, hydraulic modelling, and climate studies, gaining

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Geography & Geospatial Science or Environmental Engineering.
• Experience with coding languages, digital development and use of specialist software would be an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Supporting the delivery of flood risk, drainage and hydraulic modelling studies for a range of infrastructure and development projects.
• Assisting with data collection, analysis and interpretation, including the use of GIS, hydrological and hydraulic modelling tools.
• Contributing to the preparation of technical reports, flood risk assessments and client presentations.
• Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical and sustainable flood risk management solutions.
• Participating in site visits, stakeholder engagement activities and project meetings while developing professional and technical skills in flood risk management.
