Job summary

Arup is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Flood Risk Management team in the UK. Based in Birmingham, Nottingham, Cardiff or Bristol, you will support delivery of flood risk, climate resilience and infrastructure projects for public and private sector clients.

You will work alongside experienced Project Managers and technical specialists, gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle, including planning, governance and stakeholder engagement, with opportunities to grow your

Qualifications

• Experience in project management, engineering, environmental or consultancy.
• Understanding of project planning, budgets, programmes, risk and project controls.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of change management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; Microsoft Project is desirable.
• Interest in flood risk, water, climate resilience or infrastructure.
• Working towards or holding APM, CIWEM, ICE, PMI or equivalent membership.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of flood risk, climate resilience and wider infrastructure projects.
• Assist in project planning, governance and controls.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient delivery to a high standard.
