Job summary

LJ Recruitment is seeking a time-served Flexographic Printing Operator to join a growing manufacturing business in Newcastle upon Tyne. You will operate and maintain multi-colour flexographic presses, ensuring high-quality label production to customer specifications and deadlines.

The role offers a permanent, full-time position with 8:00am–4:30pm hours, Monday to Friday, with overtime during busy periods. A reliable, proactive approach and good team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Time-served or experienced Flexographic Printer/Operator.
• Proven experience operating multi-colour flexographic printing presses.
• Experience with embellishments such as hot foil and/or cold foil would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain multi-colour flexographic printing presses.
• Complete print jobs to the required quality standards and within agreed deadlines.
• Monitor print quality, colour consistency and registration throughout production runs.
• Carry out routine press maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical or print-related issues.
• Set up presses efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime and waste.
• Work closely with the wider production team to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Complete relevant production and quality documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Adhere to all company health and safety procedures.

• Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience
• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
