Job summary

Pure Staff Industrial is seeking a Flexographic Printing Operative for our client in Pershore, Worcestershire. The role involves operating wide web flexographic presses, printing up to 8 colours on flexible substrates and paper, with a focus on quality and efficiency.

The position offers a temporary-to-permanent path, 4 days per week, 06:30–18:30 or 18:30–06:30, and paid breaks. Weekly pay, free onsite parking, and access to a perks scheme after the first payment are included.

• Observe processes, identify issues and take proactive action.
• Assess root causes and rectify quickly with problem-solving skills.
• Report issues to Quality to protect output during shifts.

Position: Flexographic Printing Operative

Job Type: Temporary-to-Permanent
Location: Pershore, Worcestershire
Salary: £15.00 - £18.00 per hour

Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a Flexographic Printing Operative on behalf of our fantastic and long-standing client based in Pershore, Worcestershire. This is a great opportunity to join a stable and well-established manufacturing business, working with wide web flexographic printing presses within a fast-paced production environment.

Your Role as a Flexographic Printing Operative

As a Flexographic Printing Operative, your duties will include:

• Setting up and printing high-quality designs up to 8 colours onto flexible plastic substrates and paper.
• Maintaining a high level of quality, accuracy and productivity to ensure the efficient day-to-day running of wide web flexographic printing presses.
• Ensuring press speeds are optimised, maximising uptime and minimising downtime while maintaining safe and efficient operation.
• Following appropriate troubleshooting procedures and escalating maintenance issues where required.
• Taking a proactive approach to machine performance, observing processes and identifying any issues that may arise.
• Assessing and evaluating root causes, using problem-solving skills to rectify issues quickly and effectively.
• Reporting issues to the Quality department that may affect output throughout the shift.

Requirements

• Previous flexographic printing experience, minimum 3-5 years.
• Knowledge of lamination and slitting processes.
• Experience of mounting processes.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

Pay & Shifts

• £15.00 - £18.00 per hour depending on experience.
• 48 hours per week across 4 days.
• 06:30 - 18:30 or 18:30 - 06:30.
• Paid breaks - 2 x 20-minute breaks per shift.
